We are pleased to inform you that the Call for Abstracts (CFA) is now open and available on the event website. You may access the submission portal and instructions via this link. We kindly seek your support in promoting this CFA and encouraging abstract submissions within your professional networks.

The submission deadline is on 18 July 2025, 2359 hrs (UTC+8). After this date, it is no longer possible to add submissions.

We welcome abstract submissions for the following topics:

1. Integrated Reservoir Characterization

Advancing multi-scale, multidisciplinary workflows for enhanced reservoir delineation, resource assessment, predictive modeling, and performance optimization across diverse environments, for example shaly sands and thin beds.

2. Rock Physics, Seismic Petrophysics & Quantitative Interpretation (QI)

Strengthening the synergy between geophysics and petrophysics through rock physics and QI to refine seismic reservoir imaging, fluid detection, lithology interpretation, and 4D time-lapse reservoir dynamics monitoring.

3. Geomechanics

Leveraging petrophysical inputs to build robust geomechanical models for evaluating stress regimes, rock strength, fracture behavior, and wellbore stability.

4. Digital Innovations in Reservoir Characterization

Harnessing AI, machine learning, and automation to optimize data integration, data management, predictive analytics, and real-time decision-making.

5. Innovation in Data Acquisition, Processing and Analysis

Showcasing state-of-the-art reservoir characterization tools and techniques such as advanced mud logging, seismic processing, high-resolution imaging, advanced logging technologies, deep sensing, fiber optics and new formation evaluation methodologies.

 6. Core Analysis Application

Enhancing reservoir understanding through advanced core technologies, digital rock analysis, and integration with petrophysical and geological models for improved interpretation.

 7. CCS

Driving accurate site selection, reservoir integrity assessments, Measurement, Monitoring, and Verification (MMV) solutions to support low-carbon energy strategies.

 8. Brownfield Redevelopment & Near-Field Exploration

Unlocking value in mature fields through integrated static-dynamic analysis.

 9. Unconventional and Complex Reservoirs

Addressing petrophysical and geoscience evaluation of shale, tight sands, fractured carbonates, and volcanic reservoirs. Focus on integrating sedimentology, facies analysis, and mud logging for comprehensive interpretation of reservoir quality, fluid fingerprinting, distribution and productivity potential.

10. Sustainability and Energy Transition

Geothermal, hydrogen storage, water reinjection, and other low-impact energy enabled by integrated formation evaluation and reservoir characterization.

 11. Risk Assessment in Reservoir Characterization

Innovatively strategizing project feasibility by analysing resources & reserves, estimating probabilities, evaluating economic metrics, prioritizing prospects, and using financial models for effective assessment.
